The BRS innovative design pneumatic shaft seal is a kind of non-contact, maintanance free shaft seal use on mixer, agitator and screw converyor,ect. The sealing gap between the stator and the rotor is adjustable.This make the shaft seal to accommodate the actual shaft movement during the installation stage and reduce the air consumption to a minumum.

There are several PTFE rings between the stator and the rotor,when thesealing gap is reduced to zero, even there is no air access, theequipment can run without leakage at a low speed. At more higher speed,air access is necessary to keep the powder materials in the cavity and take away the heat generated. Compared to traditional packing seal, this design shaft seal can run without manitainance for years. It can sucessfuly resolve the leakage problem of powder, oil, solutions. Because the PTFE ring in the stator is softer than the static ring, even if there is a huge shaft movement during operation, it can ensure thatthe rotor ring will not worn out. The maintance work is just to replace the PTFE ring during shut down time.The split designs are available, it can be installed easily on large-size shaft without open up the bearing housing.
